A LEADING brass band will be playing at Mirfield Show.
Knottingley Silver Band - which has reached the national brass band finals three times in the last four years - will be one of the star attractions at the event at the showground on Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, on Sunday, August 22.
Knottingley Silver Band secretary Roy Baxter said: "It will be a refreshing change to play a more relaxed concert programme instead of the pressure of competition."
Show committee chairman Betty Taylor said: "We are thrilled.
Live music is such an important ingredient and adds such a great atmosphere to the day."
Other attractions include a pork pie eating competition, a horse and pony show, fun dog show, fur and feather competitions and puppets.
