THEY may have missed out on a £1m record deal but classical quartet G4 snatched another prize today - for the Best Male Celebrity Hairstyle.

THEY may have missed out on a £1m record deal but classical quartet G4 snatched another prize today - for the Best Male Celebrity Hairstyle.

The X Factor singers - including former Huddersfield student Matt Stiff - beat off competition from Brian McFadden, Prince Harry, Busted's Charlie Simpson and even David Beckham.

England's football wonderkid Wayne Rooney has also come top of a list - but for the worst hair.

He is followed by I'm a Celebrity's Fran Cosgrave, X Factor star Tabby Callaghan and ginger- haired TV presenter Chris Evans.

Ant and Dec both make it on to the lists - Ant for worst hairstyle and Dec for best.

G4's Matt, 24, Jon Ansell, 22, Michael Christie, 23, and Ben Thapa, 22, accepted their win in London.

Michael said: "Winning this is fantastic. We were surprised.

"On the X Factor they would spend hours doing our hair and make up.

"Although we don't spend that much time on ourselves, it is important to look after your appearance."

He added: "We were gutted when we lost out on the show. But we never expected to get that far anyway. Our dream throughout the competition was to record an album and hopefully, that dream will come true."

The public voted for the Brylcreem survey online.
