Do you know this man?

Police want to speak to him as they investigate an armed raid on a village travel agency.

On Thursday a man, brandishing a small kitchen knife, entered the Thomas Cook travel agency in Slaithwaite at 9.10am and made demands for money.

Staff, who had just opened the Kiln Hill branch for the day, told him police were being called and the man left the travel agency empty-handed. Staff were unhurt in the incident.

Det Sgt Nigel Gittins, of Kirklees District CID, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured and no property taken, but understandably this man’s actions have caused significant distress to the staff members present.
