HUDDERSFIELD Town players helped to boost a fundraising night which netted £2,000 for a badly injured rugby player.
Moldgreen amateur rugby league player Danny Scott was injured in a tackle during a match in January, suffering serious spinal injuries.
Town players were at the event in the New Inn, Sowood, as were former McAlpine heroes now Premiership players Jon Stead - who recently joined Blackburn - and Simon Charlton, of Bolton.
A watch given by model Nell McAndrew was among items which went under the hammer at an auction.
It was bought by Town midfielder Lee Fowler.
Lee Matthews, a partner in the pub, said: "It was a cracking night and we are delighted at the amount raised.
"People chipped in £2 to have their photos taken with Jon and Simon."
Other items up for auction included a Blackburn Rovers shirt signed by Jon, now one of the team's star strikers.
Motor racing owner Eddie Jordan sent an autographed part from one of his Formula One cars.
There was also a pair of drumsticks signed by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.
