AT 8.00pm one evening last week we had to report two teenagers causing a nuisance both on commercial property and then by entering our property. We were given an incident number by the person who took our call at the police control centre and were informed that it would take approximately four hours for them to respond, given that they might have other priorities.

At the time of writing this letter, five days have now passed since making the report and have we had any response from the police? What do you think? To make matters worse we live 800 yards from the police station!

Please remind me, does a portion of our annual council tax go to the services provided by the police. If so what are we paying for?

Last week a member of the public lost his life after confronting teenagers urinating in his garden. Could the same have happened to me if I had asked why one of these yobs was in my garden? These yobs go on causing trouble because there isn’t anybody to stop them!

We have community police walking around during the day but what good is that when these yobs misbehave at night? I guarantee, if I was to speed past this same police station I would be done by an unmarked police car.

Can the police stop wasting the public’s time and show some responsibility and action to sort out this yob culture.

Jake cheers people up

I FOUND the debates about Jake MangelWurzel of interest. I myself have spoken to him and acknowledged him many times in passing and I find him a nice chap.

He cheers people up with his sense of humour. Carry on Jake making folk laugh.

Fed up with hard Labour

SOMEHOW, we must get rid of this government. Irresponsible, incompetent, inept and stealing money from the British public.

I think that everybody who voted Labour in the last two elections should return 10% of their salaries to replace the money the government are taking. This cash could go to struggling pensioners and the hard hit. The word Labour is a misnomer. It’s not new Labour, it’s hard Labour.

What puzzles me, is that such a likeable and hard-working MP as Barry Sheerman, aligns himself with this bunch of failed administrators.
