D-DAY veterans are being invited to raise a glass to victory on the 60th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

On Sunday, all ex-Servicemen who took part in the beach assaults will be offered a free commemorative bottle of Liberation Ale at the Hare and Hounds, Liley Lane, Hopton.

D-Day saw thousands of British and US troops land in France and ultimately battle their way to victory in the Second World War.

To mark the anniversary, landlord Peter Stocks is offering former Servicemen the chance to swap stories over the specially commissioned beer.

"The D-Day veterans are very special people and we would like to acknowledge their bravery by giving something back," he said.
