PEOPLE are being welcomed to a relaxing open day at Kirkwood Hospice to celebrate both the second anniversary of its drop-in service and International Women's Day.
The event will be on Friday, March 12, from 10am until 3pm at the Hospice at Albany Road, Dalton.
There will be displays, information and taster sessions for a range of complementary therapies.
These include aromatherapy, Reiki, art classes, writing and relaxation.
Staff Nurse Gay Bowie said the sessions were available to anyone who wanted to see what was on offer at the hospice.
The drop-in service runs every Friday at the hospice and every Tuesday at Elmwood Health Centre, Holmfirth, from 10am to 3pm.
It is open to anyone affected by a life- threatening illness, including patients, carers and bereaved people finding it difficult to cope.
