HEALTH experts are telling Huddersfield people: Don't let bladder problems rule you.

The plea came as an NHS continence advice service opened in the town.

It is based at Fartown Health Centre in Spaines Road.

It is the first time the area's continence team have been in a base with open access for public, patients and healthcare professionals.

Kevin Holder, chief executive of Huddersfield Central and South Huddersfield primary care trusts, is pictured performing the official opening.

He is watched by senior continence adviser Julie Livesey (front) and her team.

Mr Holder said: "There are significant numbers of local people affected by bladder problems. We hope they will now feel more able to contact the continence team directly for help or advice."

Continence advisers can be contacted between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, on 01484 347764. Or people can just drop in at Fartown Health Centre.
