CATHOLICS and other church leaders were in Leeds today for a special service to mark the death of Pope John Paul II.
The Rt Rev Arthur Roche, Bishop of Leeds, will lead prayers in Leeds Cathedral at 5.30pm.
The preacher will be the Rt Rev David Hope, the former Anglican Archbishop of York.
Church leaders from other faiths along with civic dignitaries will also attend.
Tomorrow, a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated at Leeds Cathedral at 11am by the Rt Rev Roche and also by priests of the diocese.
