It's a bird’s eye view of an iconic Kirklees building.

Muhammad Dadu’s video of Dewsbury Town Hall is giving people a rare opportunity to see the Victorian venue from above.

Muhammad grew up in the shadow of the town hall and was always impressed when he could see its lights shimmering at night.

So the 21-year-old software engineer decided to fly a drone over the town hall at night to give a unique view of the venue.

“I could always see the town hall from my house and I was always impressed with it at night time, so I thought it would be nice to get a proper video of it,” he said.

“I used a DJI Phantom quadcopter which I am fairly new to.

“I have done shots to go with some charity work but this was my first project of its kind.

“I am still learning so I am very pleased with the results.”

The video shows the impressive grade II listed building in all its glory.

It starts with shots of the near deserted night time streets around the town hall before rising to take in the building and its clock.

Inside, the town hall is filled with unique features including original stained glass windows, wood panelling, marble columns and spectacular ornate ceilings.

Many have marvelled at its contents, but it is rare for people to have the chance to get a view of the building from above.

Muhammad has recently returned to the area after spending a year working in America.

He is a graduate from the Huddersfield University.
