A CONFERENCE about the History of Sport is coming to Huddersfield.
The public conference will talk about sports ranging from rugby league to baseball, with members of several countries talking about their given sport.
Dr Rob Light, the organiser of the event, said: “As far as we are aware, it is the first conference of its kind”.
The event will take place tomorrow and Saturday and highlights the importance of history in sport.
Dr Light said: “It gives new perspectives and opens up a history with opinions from people whose views you wouldn’t normally hear”.
The Conference will start at 10am on both days in the Castle Hill Suite of Huddersfield University.
