MORE than 70 members of Huddersfield's Muslim community got together for an annual festival aimed at promoting friendship and community spirit.
The Ahmaddiya Muslim Youth Festival was held at the mosque in Fitzwilliam Street.
The day featured not only physical and sporting events such as volleyball, table tennis and arm wrestling, but also quizzes and speeches.
The day was open to anyone aged from seven years to 40.
Youth leader Fatihun Haq said the event worked well.
He added: "It is good to get so many people together and to talk and learn about each other's views and enjoy spending time together.
"The events were competitive and entertaining."
