THEY came from near and far...
Nurses past, present and future gathered in Calderdale to showcase Nurses Day.
Members of the public were also invited to go along and celebrate the commemorative day with staff from the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
Nurses, including those who work out in the community as well as ward staff, were on hand to talk about the work they do.
Director of nursing at the Trust Helen Thomson said: “Nursing is a varied and challenging career and it takes a special kind of person to make a good nurse.
“Nurses Day is all about celebrating the huge contribution nurses make and recognising the hard work they do.”
The event, which was held at Halifax Library, was held on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday.
