AN exhibition of unusual stamps has opened at the Tolson Museum at Ravensknowle Park, Moldgreen.

The museum launched the Signed, Sealed, Delivered exhibition on Saturday.. It will run until November 4.

The stamps on show have been collected by Huddersfield Philatelic Society, which celebrates its centenary this year.

The society was formed in January 1907 by a group of stamp collectors who met at the Vicarage in Armitage Bridge. It held its first exhibition in 1920.

The exhibition will feature special events for children.

On August 23 and 30, there will be a “Lick It and Stick It” event, where children can design their own stamps and postcards.

On October 25 there will be a stamp-themed creative art and drawing event, entitled Penny Black.
