The Game of Thrones stars were out in force and looking incredible at the hotly-anticipated series six premiere last night.

And prominent among them was Huddersfield star Lena Headey, who didn’t have far to go.

The premiere was in her home town of Los Angeles.

The Shelley actress, 42, who has lived in the California sunshine for years, is reprising her role as Cersei Lannister in the hugely-popular fantasy.

Headey was announced in the role on September 1, 2009, and was part of the initial starring cast and remains a member of the starring cast for every series.

On Cersei, Headey said: “I think she is deeply, deeply fearful. She sleeps with fear in her soul. She is full of terror and paranoia and insecurity.

“She hides it with stillness. She does not move much and that’s been a real challenge for me. I fidget. She’s like a cobra, she’s a snake just waiting and waiting.”

Hosted at Hollywood’s famous TCL Chinese Theatre, the favourite characters from Thrones transformed from their fantasy roles into the ultimate Hollywood glamour figures at the event.

The likes of Maisie Williams , Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage flaunted their chosen looks on the red carpet, before heading inside for the world-first showing of episode one ‘The Red Woman’ of season six.

With only a chosen few allowed into the screening, fans across the world will be itching to get a glimpse of what last night’s small audience clapped their eyes on.

As questions around Jon Snow’s fate have lingered on the lips of fans for months, the television premiere of April 25 can’t come soon enough for most.

The 46-year-old actor has played the role of Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones since 2011 and won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Supporting Actor in 2011, as well as a second Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series last year.

Sophie Turner looked amazing in a glamorous floor-length gown as she posed for the cameras ahead of the world premiere.

But to the disappointment of some fans, Turner recently revealed why she would like her character Sansa Stark to be killed off.
