A CAR stolen from Lockwood is thought to have been used in a bizarre burglary in Huddersfield town centre. The white Vauxhall Cavalier was taken from a car park at the former Mechanics' Institute on Meltham Road in Lockwood some time after 9.30 last night. The car's registration is H344 TVV and a white car with the registration number ending TVV was used in a burglary at Ryan's Newsagents on Kirkgate at 4.50am today. A glass pane was smashed on the door and the thieves dragged out a vending machine containing toys and sweets which they loaded into the car and escaped. Both thieves are white men in their 20s and slim with short brown hair. One wore a dark top and light-coloured trousers. Phone 999 or detectives on 01484 436582.
