STORE staff got dressed up to raise money for charity.

The staff at TK Maxx, based in the Kingsgate Centre, aim to raise thousands for this year’s Comic Relief fundraiser.

The store is selling a collection of charity T-shirts designed by Vivienne Westwood and this inspired them to dress up to drum up extra cash.

Some staff dressed up as punks, complete with brightly-dyed hair, while others donated money to wear their own clothes.

The two-day fundraiser was one of several activities the store is organising in the run-up to Red Nose Day on March 18.

These include a stand-up comedy night at the Cotton Factory, a pub quiz, and a bid to pass on a T-shirt to all of the stores in the region using different modes of transport.

Staff aim to beat last year’s fundraiser and raise at least £3,000 for the charity.
