PART of Hollowgate in the centre of Holmfirth will be closed on Saturday during the town's Festival of Folk.
Hollowgate will close from the bottom of Rotcher to Goose Green between 11am and 4pm to accommodate dancing and children's entertainment.
The one-way section over the bridge will be temporarily suspended and made two-way.
People needing access to and from Goose Green will have to travel via Hollowgate past the Elephant and Castle and over the bridge on to Huddersfield Road.
Access to and from Lower Mill Lane will be via the bridge and Huddersfield Road.
The closure has been agreed to accommodate the mass of people expected to turn out to watch the street theatre and many dance teams who will be out in that part of Holmfirth on Saturday morning.
The street entertainment will include Barnsley drummers Ritmo Unido (meaning United Rhythms), whose 20-strong team play samba music from Brazil.
There will also be the return of the Bread and Butter Theatre Company, whose street theatre antics will be generating lots of fun and games on Saturday at Hollowgate, Norridge Bottom and in the churchyard.
Twenty-eight dance sides will be in action throughout the weekend. Most will be dancing the type of English dance traditions that go under the banner of Morris, but some will be dancing traditions from overseas.
The streets of Holmfirth will be filled with dancers and the watchers will get their chance to learn. There will be an open workshop on the street, with people being encouraged to join in at least a couple of dances.
There will also be more formal workshops throughout the weekend.
Late on Saturday afternoon the festival procession will meet at the Memorial Garden before winding its way down Hollowgate to Huddersfield Road, turning right towards the traffic lights then taking the steep climb up Cooper Lane to Victoria Park.
There's a slight change at Les Caveaux, where the music will be downstairs in the tapas bar. It will start later, probably about 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
