ACCOUNTANTS in Huddersfield are set to welcome Strictly Come Dancing star John Sergeant this week.

The former BBC and ITN political commentator – the surprise hit of the TV celebrity dance competition – is guest speaker at the annual dinner of the Huddersfield Society of Chartered Accountants.

Society president Andrew McConnell, director of finance at Huddersfield University, will welcome guests to the dinner, which takes place on Thursday at the Galpharm Stadium.

Guests will include Town and Giants chairman Ken Davy.
