STUDENTS at two Huddersfield schools have been inspired to reach their potential.
Pupils at Salendine Nook High School and Batley Business and Enterprise College have taken part in a workshop to prepare them for working life.
They were encouraged to focus on their individual skills to help them achieve their goals.
The Yorkshire Forward event was aimed at helping youngsters reach their potential in the hope they will make a positive contribution to the future workforce.
Ben Cole, a 15-year-old pupil at Salendine Nook High School, was one of many to attend the event.
He said: “The day was really interesting and we learned a lot of really good things like making the most of our potential and how to control our tempers.”
Pupils focused on their every day life and looked at what they were good at, what they wanted to do and how to achieve it.
Tom Riordan from Yorkshire Forward said: “The young people of today are our region’s future workforce, parents and leaders.
“It is important we address young people’s needs for both social and economic reasons.”
