A DESIGN agency is closing its doors after 14 years, following the loss of two key staff.
Heckmondwike-based Bluedoor Associates will not reopen in the new year, said managing director Steve Chandler.
He said the decision followed a surprise announcement that colleagues Martin Hudson and Gary Hepworth were resigning to launch their own agency.
Mr Chandler said: "Martin and Gary were very much part of the old Bluedoor and have a focus on print media.
"With their leaving I have decided the time is right to close up and look for fresh challenges."
Bluedoor made headlines this month when it announced a new range of T-shirts and boxer shorts for soccer's 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
The agency has designed a range of products, including the T-shirts and boxer shorts, to be sourced through its Chinese office as part of a commercial joint venture with one of its clients.
The products are due to be launched in the new year.
Mr Chandler said he would now focus his efforts on Bluedoor's Shanghai operation, as well as internet-based design work for a range of clients, including Interface Fabrics and Carlton Cards.
