TENANTS of Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing who wish to swap homes can now register on a website set up for the purpose.

They can register their own homes and search for other homes already registered.

Homes on the on-line register are also available in all local area housing offices.

The service has been introduced to improve customer access and follows the successful launch of the Homesearch website where customers can find available homes and get housing advice.

Clr Andrew Cooper, the council's cabinet member for housing, said: "It is important that we provide tenants with as much information as possible to enable them to make the right choice for them when moving into new properties.

"With people using more ways to find information and communicate, the more diverse methods we use to achieve this the better."

Customers who do not have access to the internet can also visit Housing Services at Civic Centre III in Huddersfield where an information kiosk is available for their use.
