WELL-LAID plans have led to the creation of specially- designed tablecloths at a Deighton cafe.

Community organisations took part in creative workshops for the cloths at the new Chesnut Centre cafe.

Groups worked alongside professional artists Julie Stewart, Pav Sembi and Brian Cross using a variety of methods including mosaic, glass-painting and photo collage using computers.

The finished tablecloths are being used in the cafe and those taking part are to have mementoes of their work.

Jenny Goodman, project manager at Creative Keys said: "The tablecloths the groups have designed are wonderful and they look great where they are in the Chestnut Centre cafe."

Creative Keys is a two-year creative regeneration project funded by the European Social Fund and European Regional Development Fund.
