TWO hundred singers and musicians from Rawthorpe High School and its neighbouring schools put on a concert for more than 500 people.
The Rawthorpe High School summer concert was organised by Helen Turnbull, head of expressive arts at the school, as part of the Imagine Project which is organised by Katie Ball, Kirklees Gifted and Talented co-ordinator.
Children from Rawthorpe Junior, Moldgreen Community primary and Dalton Junior School also took part in the concert, which was held in the new school hall.
Rawthorpe High School's steel band, swing band and choir and a massed choir made up from children of the three junior schools performed.
Rachel Fray, 10, a pupil at Moldgreen Community Primary School, sang the Norah Jones song, I Don't Know Why.
Helen worked on the concert with Gillian Hamer, deputy head at Rawthorpe Juniors, Ann Foulkes, of Moldgreen and Amanda Crompton of Dalton.
