A TAXI driver will appear in court today accused of causing the death of a teenage woman.
Lisa Saville, 19, was found suffering from serious head injuries on City Lane in Halifax around 3am on Friday.
She died shortly after.
Ms Saville is believed to have got into a white Hackney carriage cab with two other people at a taxi rank on Waterhouse Street in Halifax shortly before she was fatally injured.
A 42-year-old taxi driver was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter on Friday.
Yesterday police said the man had been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and would appear in Calderdale Magistrates’ Court in Halifax today.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on Friday but he was released without charge the following day.
A 19-year-old woman was also arrested and questioned on Friday, but she was released without charge on the same day.
