SUPERBIKES, cars and even a battle tank went on show at Huddersfield Technical College's Motor Show.

The inaugural show by the college's motor vehicle section was held at the construction and transport studies centre off Leeds Road, Deighton.

New, classic and sports cars were on display.

There were also workshop demonstrations, from vehicle panel making to engine electronic diagnostics and a motor trade exhibition.

Potential students were also able to find out more about courses for careers in the transport industry.

Dave Hall, event organiser and motor vehicle lecturer, said the event was a great day for motor enthusiasts and would-be students.

"The town's main dealers were showcasing their latest models, from people carriers to sports cars," he added.

"We also had some motorbikes, classic cars and army vehicles on show."

Mr Hall said anyone interested in taking a motor vehicle qualification could get information and also take a look at the college's facilities.
