A MOTORCYCLIST killed in a motorway crash was a lecturer in Huddersfield.
Students and staff at Huddersfield Technical College have been shocked by the tragedy involving Gerry Stephen Fenwick- White.
The 38-year-old died when his motorcycle crashed in an intersection tunnel linking the M1 southbound at Junction 42 with the M62 westbound at Lofthouse Gate, north of Wakefield, at 2.40am on Monday.
No other vehicle was involved.
Mr Fenwick-White, who lived in Huddersfield, was a lecturer in performing arts.
He taught the BTEC first diploma in drama, music theatre and dance.
Police closed the road for several hours after the tragedy. An inquest was due to open in Leeds today.
