A YOUTH was found with a knife in a town centre bus station.

The 16-year-old was caught by police officers in Brighouse after they stopped to speak to a large number of youths who had congregated there.

The teenager, who cannot be named, was charged with possession of a knife and will appear at Calderdale Youth Court on April 6.

The arrest came as Brighouse police listed tackling anti-social behaviour as a priority.

They will carry out regular patrols in the town centre, bus station, canal towpath and open market from Thursdays to Sundays.
