A TEENAGER has appeared in court after breaching his bail conditions.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, was before Calderdale Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

He faces charges of threatening behaviour, assault and obstructing a police officer.

The teen is due before Kirklees Youth Court on April 3 to answer these charges.

He was given bail conditions by police not to contact one of the witnesses nor go within 100 yards of Tesco Express in Bradley.

But on the evening of March 23 he was seen outside the Leeds Road store.

The teenager was arrested for breaching his bail conditions and appeared before the court in custody.

Sonia Kidd, defending, said that there was no suggestion her client was acting inappropriately.

She added that it had slipped his mind that he wasn’t supposed to be so close to the store.

Magistrates agreed to readmit the teenager to bail on the same terms as before.
