AMERICAN band Black Tide will be bringing a wave of Miami rock to Britain when they start a UK tour this month.

The Miami foursome are all aged between 14 and 19 but their youth has not stopped them producing classic rock and metal which has seen them win a legion of fans.

They have now been lined up to support Avenged Sevenfold on their UK tour this month.

Singer Gabriel, guitarist Alex, bassist Zak and drummer Steven are being billed as the biggest thing since Metallica rocked the music world in the 1980s.

Black Tide released their debut album, Light From Above, in February. The album, full of thrashing riffs, squealing guitars and rampant drums, was produced by Johnny K, who has worked with Disturbed, Machine Head and Soil.

Black Tide have already made waves and proved they are not to be beaten – they were kicked off the Jagermeister stage at OZZfest 2007 for being too young, only to be placed on the main stage by Sharon Osbourne to open the festival daily.

You can catch Black Tide at Manchester Academy on January 21 and at Leeds University on January 26.
