Police hunting two teenagers after a man was attacked in Huddersfield town centre have made an arrest.

Officers put out two images of young men they wanted to trace after the man was badly injured outside the McDonald’s restaurant early on June 2.

The incident, which happened at around 4.45am on Kirkgate, left the 19-year-old victim in hospital with serious injuries.

A police spokeswoman said: “A 17-year-old male from Huddersfield has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and released on bail pending further enquiries.”
