Crews from Huddersfield Fire Station were called out to free a teenager trapped in a taxi following a collision in Lockwood last night.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm when a Ford Fiesta estate taxi collided with a Vauxhall Corsa in Lockwood Road.

Firefighters had to cut through door struts to release the 19-year-old female passenger, who was taken to hospital with shoulder injuries.

A 17-year-old female passenger travelling in the Corsa was also taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary suffering from cuts to her head.
