A TEENAGER has been remanded in custody charged with a nightclub murder.

Darren Foley, 18, of Dalton, Huddersfield, appeared before magistrates in Dewsbury yesterday.

He has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Mr Michael Hanley, of Leeds.

He was shot dead outside Sheridans Bar in Ravensthorpe on December 27.

There was no application for bail and Foley was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on April 6.

Meanwhile, two people being held in police custody in connection with the murder of Mr Hanley have been released on bail.

A 17-year-old woman from Almondbury and a 21-year-old man from Dalton have been released pending further enquiries.

The girl was being quizzed on suspicion of possessing a firearm and assisting an offender.

The man was held over suspicions of perverting the course of justice.
