Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old youth was threatened with a knife and robbed as he walked along Hilberoyd Road.

The incident happened at around 8.40pm when the victim was approached by two males who asked him if he had any drugs. When the victim said “No”, the men threatened him with a knife and stole his Samsung Galaxy Ace mobile phone.

Det Con Andy Clayton from the Kirklees Robbery Team said: “Both suspects are described as being Asian males, about 16-years-old. The first suspect is around 5’ 7” tall and of skinny build. He wore a long-sleeved dark coloured hoodie with the hood up.

“The second suspect is around 5’ 8” tall and of chubby build. He also wore a long-sleeved dark coloured hoodie with the hood up but his hoodie had a light coloured zip up the front.”
