Five teenagers have been arrested following an alleged attack in Huddersfield.

They were detained by police investigating the stabbing of a 21-year-old man near Greenhead Park on Saturday afternoon.

Police and ambulances were sent to the scene in Gledholt Road, Gledholt, at 5.20pm.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-threatening, and he was later discharged.

The scene was taped off for several hours as police and forensics experts checked over the car in which the man was found.

Three of those arrested in connection with the incident are aged 15 and two are aged 16.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Det Insp Paul Savage of Huddersfield CID, said: "This was a serious incident and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area on Saturday who may have seen anything suspicious.
