The teenage boy stabbed in Marsh on Monday evening did not suffer 'life threatening' injuries in the attack.

Police sealed off part of New Hey Road close to the junction with Thornhill Road after the youngster was found injured in the street.

He was been taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Two ambulances and three police vehicles attended at the scene.

Det Sgt Neil King, of Kirklees CID, said: “Police were called at 6.07pm to a report of a teenager with stab wounds in New Hey Road, Huddersfield.

“The 15-year-old boy has been taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment."

Nobody has been arrested yet in connection with the attack and police say enquiries are ongoing.
