TOWN'S FA Cup gloom was lightened by one of their fans.

And Kirkwood Hospice also benefited from Kevin O'Donoghue's streak across a cold and miserable Accrington Stanley football ground.

Kevin, 32, stripped to his socks and trainers to win a bet with friends and colleagues.

He had collected £280 in bets at The Woolpack in Deighton that he would streak across the pitch in the televised first-round game.

Although he missed half the game because of his antics, after being led away by police and stewards, he did bring a smile to the 3,000-plus crowd, who saw Stanley win 1-0 in front of the Match Of the Day cameras.

Police took Kevin to Blackburn Police Station, but he was later released without charge.

A pal said:

"He said he was determined to do it for charity and a lot of people stumped up money for the hospice".
