A BOY aged 14 was robbed at knifepoint by a man with an unusual beard.

The victim and his friends were on land known as Carter's Field, between Arncliffe Road and Healey Cemetery in Batley, when three men approached them at 7.45pm on Friday.

They talked to the youngsters for about 10 minutes, then walked away. But they soon returned.

One grabbed the victim around his neck, threatened him with a knife and demanded cash and a mobile phone.

The gang then went towards Arncliffe Road.

The victim suffered a slight facial injury - but was terrified by his ordeal.

The knife man is white and in his 30s, with a designer beard that featured a line of hair from his sideburns to his chin.

A second man is white and in his 30s. He wore a blue Adidas tracksuit, white Nike trainers and a baseball cap. The third wore a balaclava, a long jacket and jeans.
