AN evening of live entertainment is on the cards tonight in memory of a tragic Huddersfield woman.

Monologues, straight theatre, stand-up and comedy will be staged by the Thunder Road Theatre Company to celebrate the life of young actress Nikki Sam Addae.

Nikki, of Kingston Avenue, Dalton, was found hanged in August, 2009, aged just 23.

Her death followed that of her fiance Luke Evans.

Luke right, died from a brain tumour. His fiancee had spent 12 months at his hospital bedside.

Nikki had wanted to be an actress and performed in plays at Halifax Playhouse. She attended Greenhead College from 2002 to 2004 before embarking on an acting course at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.

Past and present students from the university will perform songs and scenes in her memory at the event at the Irish Centre on Fitzwilliam Street.

The event starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6, which includes a free dessert buffet.
