A WOMAN'S bag was snatched as she walked home late at night.
The thief then tipped everything out, stole a purse and fled. But it turned out that the purse had no cash in it.
The theft happened when the 19-year-old Halifax woman and a friend were in New North Parade in Huddersfield town centre at 1.30am on Sunday.
Three or four men approached them and one grabbed her bag.
One of the thieves was white and in his late teens. He wore a navy hooded top. Another was also white and in his late teens. He wore a white tracksuit top and a white baseball cap.
