THIEVES have made off with high chairs worth £7,000 in an early morning raid in Huddersfield.

Raiders approached a lorry in Colne Road between 5am and 5.30am today and cut the curtain side of the lorry.

They removed 35 Mamas and Papas Siesta highchairs which retail for almost £200 each.

Police are urging people not to buy the highchairs if approached by anyone selling the items but to contact police.

Anyone with any information is asked to call PC 3231 Vicky Foley in Kirklees North Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
