THIEVES smashed their way into a closed shop and stole the till.
They drove up to the Food And Wine Store on Highgate Lane in Lepton in a stolen car just after 9.45pm last night.
They broke in to get to the till and then sped off towards Station Road.
The car, a green Renault Megane, number V759 DPY, was stolen in Rawdon, near Leeds, last Tuesday.
Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: "We would urge people to keep a lookout for the car and if they see it dumped anywhere call police immediately."
Three white men were involved in the raid. One wore a dark hooded top and a woolly hat.
