SNOW and ice failed to stop teenager William Dutton taking to the roads.

The Marsden student saw two successive driving tests in Huddersfield cancelled because of the Arctic weather.

But it was third time lucky for William,18, of Marsden, when he passed his driving test with a 100% success.

The Greenhead College student faced bad luck in December and January when two of his driving tests were cancelled due to the bad weather.

The first was cancelled on the day because of the snow, but William must have thought the gods were against him when in January it was cancelled yet again due to icy roads.

Even with his third test, the forecast wasn’t very promising and shortly after William passed his test it began to snow.
