NEARLY 5,000 council tenants in Kirklees have had their homes improved to bring them up to decent standard requirements, a conference heard.
The meeting was an annual joint event for Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing and Kirklees Federation of Tenants' and Residents' Associations. This year, it was held at the Gomersal Park Hotel, Gomersal.
Representatives from the five building firms involved in the project were available to answer questions and discuss issues with delegates.
Cora Carter, deputy chairwoman of Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing's main board, said: "It was an opportunity to share ideas about working in partnership to deliver quality services to our tenants."
