A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after a nasty assault in Dewsbury Moor.

The victim, 24, was found collapsed in School Crescent at 3.20am today, covered in blood.

He was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and is currently being assessed.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Two men, aged 35 and 18, and a woman aged 28 have been arrested in connection with the horror attack.

Police crime scene investigators sealed off an address on the street to complete forensic examinations.

Det Insp Andy Leonard from Kirklees CID, said: “Police and ambulance were called to reports of a male who had been assaulted.

“They arrived to find a man in a state of undress, covered in blood, collapsed on the floor.

“He has fractures to his face and lots of cuts and scrapes to his body.

“It’s still early in this investigation and he is still being assessed in hospital.”
