THREE men have appeared in court after a multi-million pound drugs bust on a West Yorkshire motorway. Police found the £6.5m haul – one of the biggest of its kind ever in the UK – on the M1 close to the turn-off for Huddersfield at junction 38 near West Bretton on Friday, February 15. Officers stopped a vehicle on the northbound carriageway and found the large amount of suspected drugs. Two men aged 26 and 31 appeared before Wakefield magistrates yesterday charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs. A third man aged 49 charged with supply of class B drugs also appeared. Police inquiries are continuing.
