THE manager of a recruitment agency has appeared in court accused of fraud.

Angela Tait, 31, of Varley Road, Slaithwaite, faces three charges of filling in timesheets to which false hours had been added.

Rochdale magistrates were told the alleged offences took place more than a year ago, when Tait was branch manager of the Three- way Solutions agency in the town's Bull Brow.

The agency provided temporary and full-time staff to industry and commerce.

The court was told Tait was arrested after irregularities were found in the accounts.

It is alleged that the breach of trust cost the company £4,199 and that Tait had made up figures because she was "under pressure" over weekly targets.

She has denied all the charges and will contend there had been no loss to the company.

The magistrates refused to deal with the case.

Tait was remanded on unconditional bail until April 22, when she will be sent to stand trial at Bolton Crown Court.
