Detectives have arrested three schoolboys suspected of the triple stabbings in Holmfirth on Friday night.

Two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested by police in Huddersfield at 5pm yesterday.

The 14-year-olds have now been released on police bail but the older teenager remains in custody and could be charged later today.

The nasty attack saw three young males aged 17,19 and 21, wounded after a street fight in Holmfirth at about 10.30pm.

Yesterday, two were still in hospital, but their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Detectives had linked the violence to a Netherthong house party but have now confirmed they believe the attackers travelled from Huddersfield to the sleepy Holme Valley village intent on causing trouble.
