A YOUNG man was assaulted and robbed as he sat on a bench in Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park.
Three men aged 18 to 20 surrounded the 19-year-old at 5.20pm yesterday and beat him.
They stole a bag containing two cameras and a wallet. The victim had bruising to his head and legs.
One thief is of Afro-Caribbean origin with a pale complexion. He wore a brown, three-quarter-length hooded coat.
A second was white, slim and 6ft tall, with a light hooded jacket. The third man wore dark clothing.
Det Con Russ Conlon said: “We believe there would have been a lot of people walking through the park on their way home from work.’’
