Three men have been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery at the Co-op store in Dewsbury on Monday night.

Detectives earlier appealed for witnesses following the incident at the Brunswick Street premises at 7.40pm.

During the incident the shop manager was stabbed in the leg.

He is recovering after suffering a one inch wound.

Three men aged 27, 37 and 40 have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was in the area around 7.40pm on Monday, June 1, and saw anything suspicious should contact Kirklees CID via 101.
